Short Answer
Most blood test results are available within 2-5 days, but this can vary depending on the test. You will receive an SMS notification once your results are ready, and a doctor will review them with you. If it’s been more than 5 days, please contact Abby support at support@abbyhealth.app or send us a message via the app.
Pathology test results are processed by external laboratories and sent directly to Abby Health. The turnaround time depends on the type of test.
Typical Turnaround Times
- STI tests – 2-4 days
- General blood tests – 2-5 days
- Iron & vitamin levels – 3-5 days
- COVID-19 PCR tests – 24-48 hours
How Will I Receive My Results?
- You will receive an SMS when your results are available.
- Your results must be reviewed with a doctor for quality care.
- Book a follow-up consultation to go over the results with your doctor.
Why Do I Need a Doctor to Review My Results?
- Ensuring accurate interpretation – A doctor will explain what the numbers mean in context.
- Identifying next steps – If any values are outside the normal range, your doctor will discuss follow-up testing or treatment.
- Compliance with telehealth rules – Results cannot be emailed for privacy reasons and must be delivered by a clinician.
