Can I get a medical certificate through Abby?
Last Updated

Short Answer

Yes! You can request a medical certificate through an Abby telehealth appointment. If approved, your doctor will send it via email immediately after your consultation.

A medical certificate confirms that you were unwell and unable to attend work, school, or other obligations. It serves as official documentation for employers, universities, and other institutions.

How to Get a Medical Certificate

  1. Book a telehealth appointment with an Abby doctor.
  2. Explain why you need a certificate (e.g., illness, injury, recovery).
  3. Your doctor will assess your condition and determine if a certificate is appropriate.
  4. If approved, your certificate will be emailed to you immediately after your consult.

💡 Medical certificates are legal documents—they can only be issued if a doctor determines they are clinically appropriate.

💡 Need it resent? If you don’t receive your certificate, check your email or contact support.
