Lack of Regular GP Continuity
Approximately 32.8% of Australians reported being unable to see their preferred GP at least once in 2022–23, indicating challenges in maintaining consistent care.
Financial Barriers to Accessing Care
In 2023–24, 8.8% of Australians avoided visiting a GP due to cost, up from 7% the previous year. This trend reflects growing financial pressures impacting healthcare access.
